T.S.N. Ishtar - Portable Bridge Build

posted May 05, 2013 18:08:39 by ericksoninmotion
So I got the bug to build a bridge the day I saw Artemis at GenCon 2012. Had not even played it yet. 9 months later I have most of the ship together. It will be shown in public the first time at Phoenix Comic Con on May 23rd to 26th.

I wanted to make a bridge that looked cool, and could be setup played and put away, alas no full room builds at my house. I have to thank everyone on the forum here for all the ideas and advise. I was able to use Holiday Coro style scratch built lights, and other ideas from here to build the bridge.

Hey, I'll be attending Phoenix Comicon on the 25th so let me know how to find you when you've set it up. Just had our first game down in Tempe last saturday. Our group will be attempting to get more games together so I'd love to check out your setup for portability as none of us has a dedicated space either yet.

Thats Awesome!

Thanks for the reply. The biggest issue I have now is that HolidayCoro don't ship to Australia. But I think I should be able to find similar stuff off ebay.

Thanks so much for the help everyone, I'll post pics as soon as I have it all running.

The Convention is MAY 23-26 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Artemis will be in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, North 2nd Street, Phoenix, AZ. The gaming area is on the second floor, get to Con go to the Hyatt second flor and look for the game signup desk. They will point you to our room.

We will be open 46 hours of the show for play of the game, each game will be a 1 hour slot. That slot will be from the top of the hour lasting 55 minutes. With 5 minutes to rotate crews into the simulator.

Con Schedule:
Thursday 23rd - 16:00 to 01:55
Friday 24th - 10:00 to 01:55
Saturday 25th - 10:00 to 01:55
Sunday 26th - 10:00 to 15:55

look at this post: cheapest-solution-that-i-can-find-for-lighting

There is a post by "Chalta" on Jan 07, 2013: about another store that may be holiday coro's supplier... Ray Wu's Store. There prices for each item is much lower, but shipping to the US put the price higher for me in Arizona. You may have luck there.

That looks great! Shipping isn't too much to Australia.

Thanks for that.

Thedr, Glad to help.

As a side note:
Got my main view screen working for the ship, it comes in at about 115" diaginal 4x3 ratio. Working on light boxes next to go on the sides of the screen.
