I couldn't believe it, either.

Monoprice 17" 4:3 LCD touchscreen at for less than $200; getting decent reviews.

- 1280x1024 resolution.
- VGA input (meh).
- External power

*think* Now this is tempting!...

You evil person!
I just got all my cards paid off and you have to go and post this!

Well, spending drives the economy... <grumble> grin

Just be aware that it isn't multi-touch, so no pinch-zoom on Science.

There's supposed to be a flood of Windows8-focused multi-touch screens but it's just not happening fast enough! :)

It's a resistive touchscreen. Doesn't mean it sucks terribly, but you just gotta keep that in mind. If you think this'll feel like your android tablet, you will be disappointed.
VGA input? That's fine. I use VGA on my secondary monitor, and you can't tell the difference in normal operation.

Just note that once the Android version comes out, you can get a complete 10-inch artemis station for less than that.
