New Mission: High Stakes

posted Mar 25, 2013 20:47:59 by evolwilk
I've completed my first full mission script. I've tested it out a bit but haven't had a chance yet for a full crew to try it out. No guarantees regarding its awesomeness but I thought it was fun.

It's a multi-stage assault map against the Torag: 1) You dock with the Forward Operating Base to receive the detailed briefing. 2) Then you navigate to the jump-point to enter the contested sector. 3) Upon arrival at the sector you must clear out the enemy patrols so that the FOB can jump in after you. 4) Dock with the FOB for refueling. 5) Penetrate the sensor barrier and take on the command vessel and escort that our probes think is in there.

To anyone who tries it out, I'd appreciate feedback since I'm still just beginning to figure this stuff out. Thanks!

Hint: may be easier if you zipped all that up and reshared just the ZIP file. Elsewise I have to fetch all the bits separately.

Bonus: Google Docs lets folks view the contents of the zip file before downloading. Love Google Docs!...

If you'd like, I'd be happy to host it for you at Artemis Command.
I'm not a mad scientist. I'm an angry one. You'd be wise to fear the latter.

Visit Artemis Command!

Hey, bud. Great mission, noticed a few bugs in the XML from that "High Stakes Zipped".

Variable "Briefed" is never set to 4.0 (needs to be placed as action in Event "Enemy Spawned")

You also need to remove "Briefed = 9.0" from the "Sensor Damage" Event, it breaks the sequence and isn't critical in any way (Since Briefed jumps from 8.0 to 10.0)

I make bugs like this all the time, we're gonna try it out and see if everything's gravy :)
