Been trying to manufacture a ship, just to see what I can do with Artemis.
I built a basic hull then wanted to see the effects of scale, so opened it in the Ship Editor to start working out X,Y,Z stuff. I found a couple of huge holes in the ship structure that prevented the yellow crosshair from even moving over the surface of the basic polygons!
So I went back to basics and tried a simple cylinder shape. Saved it as .dxs in Deled 3d and opened it in Ship Editor and again:
What am I doing wrong? Do these holes exist in my model, or just in the render on the Ship Editor?
Any help, especially from you expert modders, gratefully received.
