Hi everyone, I'm new here to the forum and the game.
First thing is, I came across the game via you tube, watching some gameplays, played 2 games so far, with on 3 people, but we are planing to play with a full crew this weekend, anyway, the game is awesome.
I got my self modding since monday, I nearly completed a diff lvl 3 game, but I think I have some problems with some enemies. These enemies are created if Artemis is inside a certain location, then a space station lunch 3 drones, to call te attention of the enemy ships, that leave an asteroid field, so the player can engage them, at this moment, the enemy ships are created so teh player can fight them. The problem is, some enemy ships, kind of teleport... Lets say Artemis is firing pahsers at a Kralien cruiser, the cruiser has shields, it can still fight, but from no where BOOM1!! the cruiser teleport form the front of Artemis to the back of the ship, 2000 meters away... That is really strange, another thing is, some ships disapear from the radar of science, helm, weapons and the main screen can still see these ships, I wonder if this is not because of the asteroid field.
If anyone coudl help me, that would be awesome.
btw, I'm using the editor that you can download in the wiki, I think it's amazing.
If the enemies have the Elite flag turned on they can teleport, become invisible to Science, and do other elite things. If you want elites you should specifically set the ability bits.
"Damn the torpedoes! Four bells, Captain Drayton!"
(Likely actual words of Admiral David Farragut, USN, at the battle of Mobile Bay. Four bells was the signal for the engine room to make full steam ahead).
I didn't know that, thanks. The problem is that these units are not set to be elite. Is there a way to set them to not be elite

I had trouble getting certain ships to switch commands so when necessary I changed one ship from USFP Faulklin to USFP Faulklin. Destroying one and creating a one with two spacings. I'm sure this was a generic fix but it got me through a couple spots.
Asteroids can't make ships invisible. Nebulae have a minor effect but Science can see through it.
What race are your enemy ships?
I suppose I would need to see your script to understand what's going on.
